#Erasmus Days Event was Held at İMÜ
The #ErasmusDays 2022 took place in October throughout Europe and also the World. This international celebration is based on the concepts of promoting European values, mobility benefits and Erasmus+ project results, in order to boost visibility for citizens, stakeholders, media and policy makers. IMU got involved in this celebration by organising its first Erasmus Days Event on the 13th of October at the Ziraat Bank Conference Hall of İMÜ.
At the beginning of the event a welcome speech was given by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nagehan Ersoy Tunalı, International Office Coordinator of İMÜ. The Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ekrem TAK also made a speech and he encouraged Erasmus candidate students to learn more than one foreign language and about other cultures.
Res. Asst. Özge Kara, a member of İMÜ International Office, briefly promoted Erasmus mobility projects for students and gave information about application and mobility process. Then our incoming students from different countries of the world shared their Erasmus experiences with all the participants. They introduced their home institutions, countries and cultural values via well prepared presentations, videos and photographs. We would like to thank Marcel Minor, Anna Gorholt and Cansel Ceylan from Germany and Pa Modou Drammeh from Italy for their contributions to the day.
Then Batuhan Kılıçkaya, the representative of the Erasmus Student Community of İMÜ, addressed the positive effects of sharing experiences and supporting each other during their mobility period on social and cultural adaptation. He invited all Erasmus students to join the Community.
After a short break, the second part of the event started with the presentations of our outgoing students. Amine Doğa Karaçelik, Beren Gıcık, Rumeysa Kızıldoğan, Nihan Gümüşkaya, Tarık Taha Kocaboy and Irmak Yılmaz made effective presentations, shared their Erasmus experiences and they motivated students who were interested in Erasmus Programme.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Betül Özbay, a lecturer of the Department of Turkish Language and Literature gave broad information about her KA171 Erasmus Credit Mobility Project with Partner Countries.
#Erasmus Days Event at İMÜ closed after a pleasant concert performed by Asst. Prof. Dr. Cihan Aydın and Hazar Şengül. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ersoy Tunalı expressed her sincere thanks to all participants and her proud of the success of Erasmus Programme.
