To find housing in a different country must be difficult while you are in your home country. Nevertheless, we recommend you start searching for a place to stay as soon as possible.
Unfortunately, İstanbul Medeniyet University cannot offer on-campus (dormitory) accommodation. However, one option we might be able to offer only female students is the IMU dormitory for girls, which is run by a private enterprise. In case you inform our Erasmus Program Office upon your nomination about your decision to stay there, we could contact them to ask for any available places.
If for any reason, you could not decide on your accommodation before your departure from your home country, you can easily book a room in a hostel, and then you can find your accommodation while you are in Istanbul.
While choosing the place for accommodation, you should take into consideration the location of the campus where your faculty is located. For instance, if you are an Erasmus+ student in IMU’s Faculty of Arts & Humanities, then you will be taking your courses in our South Campus so you should prefer some district nearby such as Kadıköy, Üsküdar, and other districts near the Metro and Metrobus lines on the Anatolian side.
