Erasmus+ Staff Mobility, which is a part of the Erasmus+ Program, allows faculty and staff members to carry out a period of teaching or training at Istanbul Medeniyet University (IMU). The sending organization must be a Program Country HEI awarded with an ECHE or a Partner Country HEI recognized by competent authorities and having signed an interinstitutional agreement with the receiving Program Country partner before the mobility takes place. Here you can find the list of our Erasmus partners.
University staff can participate in two strands of Erasmus+:
1) Erasmus+ Teaching Mobility
Teaching mobility can be undertaken:
a) to a Higher Education Institution which holds Erasmus+ University Charter and with which a valid Inter-institutional Agreement is in place.
b) by the incoming staff of an enterprise invited to IMU to undertake teaching activities.
Duration of teaching mobility ranges from 5 days to 2 months (max.) excluding travel time. For one-week (5 working days) participation, the teaching activity has to comprise a minimum of 8 hours of teaching per week. Minimum duration of 2 working days is strongly recommended to provide a meaningful contribution to the teaching program and international academic life at IMU.
2) Erasmus+ Staff Training Mobility
Staff training is an option for all staff, and can involve teaching or non-teaching staff:
- Going to another HIE which holds a standard Erasmus+ University Charter
- Going to an enterprise
For training activities that will last more than one week (5 working days), the minimum teaching hour must be calculated in proportion to the minimum requirement (e.g., 16 hours/10 working days, 24 hours/15 working days).
Within the broad objective of staff training this action encompasses three types of mobility:
- Mobility of staff of a higher education institution going to an enterprise.
The purpose is to allow the beneficiaries to learn by transfer of knowledge or knowhow and to acquire practical skills. The activities can be very varied: language training, seminars, workshops, courses and conferences.
- Mobility of administrative and other non-teaching staff from a HEI going to a partner HEI.
The purpose is to allow the beneficiaries to learn from the experiences and good practices of a partner institution and to improve the skills required for their current job. - Mobility of teaching staff in a higher education institution going to a partner institution for the purpose of receiving training.
The activities may include language training, seminars, workshops, courses and conferences.
